Position Summary:
The HR Operations Specialist will play a pivotal role in supporting various HR projects, including but not limited to HCM optimization and business process changes, act as a payroll backup, and support our Human Resources Business Partners. The HR Operations Specialist will require a strong understanding of HR principles, excellent project management skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Provide support for HR projects from initiation to completion, including project planning, coordination, and execution. Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of HR initiatives.
- Work closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities for optimizing the HCM tool - Workday. Assist in the design, configuration, testing and implementation of system enhancements to improve efficiency and user experience.
- Analyze existing HR processes and identify areas for improvement. Assist with developing and implementing business process changes to streamline workflows, increase efficiency, and align with organizational goals, and operational controls.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret HR data to support decision-making and identify trends. Generate reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to key stakeholders.
- Develop documentation to ensure effective knowledge transfer and user adoption.
- Support the Human Resources Business Partners by providing insights, data analysis, and recommendations to address HR-related challenges.
- Provide day-to-day support to the Human Resources Business Partners, assisting with employee relations issues, policy interpretation, and HR-related inquiries.
- Handle various administrative tasks, including but not limited to maintaining employee records, processing HR-related documentation, and managing HR-related inquiries.
- Stay updated on relevant employment laws, regulations, and best practices. Ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices are compliant and up to date.
- Support and act as the payroll backup.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Post-Secondary education in Human Resources Management, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years’ experience in an HR generalist or payroll role.
- Experience processing payroll.
- Experience supporting and/or leading HCM enhancement projects and implementing process improvements.
- Solid understanding of HR principles, practices, and regulations.
- Experience with Workday and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently, in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to adapt to change and demonstrate flexibility in response to evolving business needs.
