**Salary**:This position starts at $110,000 per year and increases to $151,367 per year, over a 10- year period. This salary range incorporates experience, yearly salary increments to reward years of service, employee growth and development within the organization.

**Closing Date**:April 1, 2024

**PURPOSE OF THE JOB**

Reporting to the CEO,** the Director, Social Entrepreneurship** is responsible for leading and overseeing the management and future development of social enterprises, cooperatives and other social purpose business models that advance the organization’s social impact mandate. This role requires a dynamic and strategic leader with a deep understanding of social responsibility, entrepreneurship and for-profit financial acumen. The Director, Social Entrepreneurship will have a blend of strong business and leadership skills and a deep passion for social change. They will collaborate with various stakeholders, including developing a diverse customer pipeline, diverse supply-chain pipeline, business community partnerships as well as other government and stakeholder customers to drive profitability and sustainable, positive social change. They may also assist in measuring and communicating impact to stakeholders.

**1.0** **SPECIFIC DELIVERABLES AND AUTHORITIES***

**1.1 **Strategic Planning and Development**
- Identifies, develops and manages new business opportunities including strategic partnerships to grow the business.
- Envisions and strategizes organization’s strategic priorities and develops plans for implementation
- Researches and identifies new markets.
- Leads organization-wide consultation and engagement to support the development of sustainable, forward-thinking system solutions and workflows.
- Oversees the development of policy, practice guidelines, and procedures that are based on best practice and current legislation.

**1.2 **Service Quality**
- Evaluates existing partnerships and sales efforts with an eye towards building on what works and changing what doesn’t.
- Assessing business goals, risks and opportunities by analyzing financial, statistical, and economic data.
- Ensures that the supply chain selected delivers on service quality.
- Oversees and provides leadership and support to teams in efforts towards organizational accreditation and certification.
- Provides guidance on CSR (corporate social responsibility) for the organization;
- Oversees the development of KPIs, dashboards and mechanisms for evaluation across the department.

**1.3** **Management**
- Builds relationships with customers, suppliers, distributors, partners, and vendors to increase revenue generation and market share.
- Manages and expands key client relationships and works to build new ones.
- Fosters and works to maintain an entrepreneurial growth culture throughout the organization and across all teams and work functions.

**1.4 **Organizational relationship building/partnerships**
- Represents DIVERSEcity positively and professionally in the community.
- Engages on external committees, advisory groups, and relevant networks to be informed and updated on emerging social issues, new/alternative-funding opportunities and to advocate for addressing social issues and service gaps in the community.

**1.5** **People & Culture**
- Builds cross-functional teams to guide and nourish sustainable, long-term growth.
- Hires, supervises, coaches and mentors direct reports to develop high performing teams with a growth and accountability mindset.
- Builds and promotes a people & culture
- centric workplace in collaboration with the Director of People & Culture.

- Builds the capacity within the team through coaching, best practices, and processes to drive continual improvement.
- Establishes relationships with vendors and other stakeholders on all fiscal management matters.
