Outside Sales Representative

Eaton’s ESSG CA Canada division is currently seeking an** Outside Sales Representative **to join our South West Ontario Sales team. (**Hybrid**)
**This position will service customers in Western Ontario area (Windsor, Sarnia, Chatham).**
**Travel**: 50%
**What you’ll do**:
The **Outside Sales Representative** will be responsible for achieving assigned Sales and Orders objectives for applicable Eaton products and services, focusing on key existing and target accounts within the Western Ontario Industrial/OEM and Construction markets. You'll also manage all aspects of the customer relationship, providing sales and technical assistance to distributors, customers, contractors, and consultants, to drive sustainable sales growth.
**In this function, you will**:
- Achieve team Orders and Sales goals.
- Cultivate customer, channel, and internal relationships.
- Implement sales plans and growth strategies, to achieve annual performance objectives.
- Promote Eaton products and services to optimize sales volume, product mix, and profitability.
- Provide technical assistance to customers and distributors.
- Prepare sales proposals and value propositions to satisfy customer needs and expectations.
- Understand, and be responsive to, market conditions and competitive activities; Communicate such information internally to drive corrective actions and inform Regional & District strategies.
- Maintain co-operative and credible working relationships with internal personnel, to consistently exceed customer expectations.
- Perform all job functions with adherence to Eaton's Philosophy and Values as well as Safety and Environmental standards.
**Qualifications**:
**Required (Basic) Qualifications**:
- High School diploma from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of three (3) years of sales experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years of technical experience in the electrical industry.
- Must be authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
- Valid Driver License
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Diploma or Degree from an accredited institution in Electrical Engineering Technology, Power Systems Engineering, or related field
- P Eng. or CET designation, Business Degree
**Skills**:
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Professional presence and effective presentation skills.
- Electrical industry experience.
- Intimate knowledge of the GTA Residential / Commercial Construction market.
- Experience closing large orders in both single and multi-contractor (spec/bid/buy) scenarios.
- Proven ability to develop and deploy strategies to deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Demonstrated competency in contributing to the success of the team.
- Analytical aptitude, ability to think critically with proven problem-solving skills.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Savvy negotiator, adept at navigating and attaining mutually agreeable resolution to conflict.
