**Weekend Receptionist**

Woodland Cemetery, Mausoleum, and Crematorium is looking for a **Weekend Receptionist **to join our team. As the receptionist of a cemetery and funeral service provider, you will be responsible for professionally greeting our client families on the phone and in person, provide basic site information, and perform clerical duties.

Hours: Saturdays 9:00am to 1:00pm

**Responsibilities**
- Greets guests and visitors, offering assistance when entering the building
- Notifies staff members when appointments arrive and escorts guests to appropriate room.
- Answers routine questions associated with services, products, location directions, etc.
- Immediately notifies and involves management with customer service and security issues.
- Receives deceased belongings from family and follows chain of custody procedures.
- Answers screens and routes incoming calls to appropriate staff members.
- Maintains guest-waiting area, disposing of trash, replacing tissues, and general straightening of furniture.
- Receives incoming mail and packages.
- May perform light typing, proofreading, data entry, or printing.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Funeral Director, Cemetery Director, Managers.
- Assist Funeral Directors and Cemetery Directors with their calendar schedule for the day.
- Process accounts payable transactions.

**Minimum Requirements**
- High School Diploma or equivalent education
- Six months general office, receptionist, or administrative support experience preferred.
- Proficient at operating telephones, fax, copiers
- Dependable and punctual.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Clear and professional speaking voice and tone
- Professional interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
- Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
- Ability to work schedule on Saturdays
- Basic computer skills, MS Word and Outlook, Quickbooks, Excel.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 4 per week

**Salary**: $17.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- London, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
