**What you’ll do**
It’s safe to say, there’s no shortage of variety in what we do. Here are some key accountabilities of the role:

- This position is responsible for calculating and processing the daily data input required to process payroll and related manual payments in a timely, accurate manner for Home Office and Store Associates of TJX Canada.
- Process timesheet data for Home Office associates.
- Calculate, enter, and audit payroll adjustments for mid pay actions (i.e. hires, terminations, transfers).
- Calculate, enter, and audit retroactive pay adjustments as required; calculate and issue manual cheques as required.
- Issue ROE’s (some must be manually prepared).
- Respond to Associates, Managers and DM’s to resolve inquiries or issues related to pay.
- Ensure ongoing departmental compliance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX compliance), company policies, and audit requirements; ensure compliance with provincial, and federal government legislation.
- Full life cycle administration of hourly and salary national payrolls (i.e. hires, terminations, salary changes).
- Generate and distribute pay period and other ad hoc reporting as required.

**What you’ll need**
To begin your career with us, we require the following:

- A minimum of 1 (one) year of professional payroll or administrative Human Resources experience.
- Enrolment in (or completion of) a related professional designation, such as CPA, CHRP, or Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certificate.
- High sense of integrity with the ability to deal with confidential, sensitive information with a high degree of professionalism; an independent thinker who exercises good judgment and discretion.
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively within a team, and with individuals throughout the organization, effective interpersonal skills.
- Ability to clearly to communicate in verbal and written form effectively.
- Demonstrated analytical thinking and administrative excellence; highly organized, able to multi-task, accurate and detail-oriented.
- Must have a willingness to learn and take initiative, possess a strong work ethic
- Experience with UKG Pro, Kronos WorkForce Central, and Oracle HR would be an asset.
- Excellent technical skills with Microsoft Suite environment (Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint) with strong focus in Microsoft Excel.
- Bilingual (written and verbal) in English and French is considered a strong asset.

**Salary Range**: $49,960 - $69,940 /year
- This represents the expected hiring range and may not represent the full pay range for the position. The salary offered may be higher than the posted range depending on several factors such as relevant skills, qualifications, and experience._
