Reporting to the Director, Co-operative Education and Experiential Learning, the Manager, Strategic Partnerships is responsible for managing the employer engagement and workforce planning components of the Future Ready Premium Program (FRPP) and all aspects of federally and/or provincially funded workforce-based projects, while strategically positioning the College as a key enabler of talent planning efforts and advancing labour market priorities.

This role engenders collaborative relationships and productive internal and external partnerships relative to multi-stakeholder constituencies including the primary responsibility for helming a pan-Canadian collaboration focused on work force initiatives and employer consortiums. The incumbent applies knowledge and expertise in relationship management, workforce development, experiential learning, customized training and learning services, budgeting, and program evaluation. The incumbent’s primary role will be to develop enduring and sustainable relationships with our valued employer and community partners by providing them with greater access to talent, meaningful engagement with students and alumni, academic partnerships, strategic co-branding, industry solutions, and legacy opportunities.

**What you’ll be doing**:
**Provides advanced client relationship and account management**
- ** **Manage and facilitate the Future Ready Premium Program and any assigned provincially/federally or externally funded projects.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
- Act as the central point of contact and college connector/navigator for employers.
- Coordinate and strengthen relationships with employers, community partners, project stakeholders, and Future Ready Premium Program members.
- Track employer interactions through Customer Relationship Management (CRM) practices and technology.
- Profile clients and their unique needs with continuous assessment.
- Create and route formal memorandum of understanding (MOU)/agreements and documentation between employer partners and the college.
- Implement streamlined and accessible pathways for employers to partner with the college.
- Review current partnerships and develop lead generation for future program employer partners.
- Monitor, evaluate, and provide project updates to key stakeholders.
- Create, monitor, and advise on program budget.
- Liaise with program and service departments in the planning and delivery of employer and project activities.
- Conduct conflict resolution when required.
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
- Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors to create positive action and accountability for assigned work.

**Develops greater access to student and graduate talent**
- ** **Develop customized talent pipeline strategies and workforce analysis/talent blueprint to support employer recruitment and retention priorities.
- Conduct employer partner research, market scanning, and impact of talent plan on phases of organizational growth.
- Plan and coordinate employer workforce planning meetings.
- Connect employer partners to work-integrated learning opportunities (i.e. co-op, clinical placements, practicum placements, and field placements).
- Facilitate connections with district school boards for early recruitment strategies.
- Work collaboratively with Training Specialists, Community Employment Services, and the Centre for Experiential Learning.

**Provides customized industry solutions and academic partnership opportunities for employers**
- ** **Increase employer awareness and participation in capstone and industry projects.
- Leverage applied research projects and IDEAWORKS services to provide timely response to employer needs.
- Collaborate with Mohawk College Enterprise (MCE) to develop continuous learning and professional development workshops for employees.
- Promote access to on-campus state-of-the-art facilities and resources.
- Identify Mohawk senior leadership members to act as key executive contacts for employer partners.
