New Product Marketing Specialist

Marketing Responsibilities
- Brand Representation: Serve as the face and voice of the brand at events, embodying its values, mission, and vision.
- Attend and run promotional events throughout the tenure at brand-specifc sport events
- Liaise with sales points to organize and execute product sampling sessions
- Engagement and Interaction: Initiate conversations with event attendees, effectively communicate the brand message, and create a positive and memorable experience for visitors.
- Product Knowledge: Possess an in-depth understanding of our products/services to provide accurate information and address inquiries or concerns from attendees.
- Promotional Activities: Execute planned promotional activities such as demonstrations, giveaways, or contests to attract and retain consumer interest.
- Lead Generation: Collect customer information and generate leads for follow-up by the sales or marketing team.
- Event Set-up and Breakdown: Assist in the setup and breakdown of event materials, ensuring the booth or area is organized and visually appealing.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the management team to align event strategies with overall marketing objectives and provide feedback on consumer response and event effectiveness.
- Brand Advocacy: Actively share experiences and positive brand interactions on social media platforms to amplify brand reach.
- E-commerce fulfilment

Technical NPD Responsibilities
- Determine the regulatory guidelines for selling chocolate and energy bars in our new geographies
- Assess the current product marketing mix and determine how that must change in targeted new geographies
- Update packaging for new markets to be fully compliant with local regulations
- Modify existing recipes for new geographies based on regulations

Qualifications & Skills:

- Manage a float of money and inventory of products
- Be able to drive with vehicle access
- Team-oriented, relationship builder with a positive attitude
- Previous experience in event marketing, sales, or customer service preferred.
- Outstanding communication skills and a friendly, outgoing demeanor.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Work weekends or evenings as per event schedules.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of social media platforms for live event coverage and brand promotion is a plus.
- Must embody the brand's values and maintain professionalism at all times.

**Requirements**:

- This role is 30 hours per week, remotely and in person, from Edmonton and the surrounding area.
- BSc in Nutrition, Food Science, or a related degree
- This role is a part of the National Research Council’s IRAP's Youth Employment Program thus youth must meet the following criteria:

- between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive);
- a post-secondary graduate
- a Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada
- is not in receipt of Employment Insurance benefits;
- legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial legislation and regulations
- a first-time participant in a Youth Employment and Skills Strategy work experience program targeted at post-secondary graduates.

*Contract will be 6 months long with a possibility of extension

We create chocolate snacks to fit the needs of different times of the day, from everyday indulgence to sport performance, with a focus on functional food and clean label trends.
