**Responsibilities**
- Manages and guides Infrastructure staff that focus on the installation, configuration and monitoring of both server and storage systems in a virtualized environment;
- Establishes and fosters a highly motivated, committed, and flexible workforce through mentoring, leadership, and professional guidance;
- Liaises with Enterprise and Solution Architects on infrastructure direction, standards and trends;
**Process**
- Ensures that information is communicated to the Senior Management team in an accurate and timely fashion in order to enable tactical and strategic management decision making;
- Maintains overall strategic technology direction and standards for server and storage hardware;
- Directs the security and updates patch process for server environments;
- Assists with the development and maintenance of policies and procedures for department;
- Actively contributes toward the resolution of business problems by participating in regular meetings with business areas and ensures that resulting action plans are implemented;
- Facilitates change management in regard to the configuration, test, implementation and post implementation review of modifications and enhancements;
**Technology**
- Proactively ensures the functionality, reliability, and stability of existing systems by ensuring appropriate backup and recovery, disaster recovery, job scheduling, performance monitoring and tuning, and capacity monitoring and planning are done;
- Provides high level strategic technical architecture guidance for the design and maintenance of the storage, physical and virtual server infrastructure;
- Recommends and deploys additional products and tools or enhancements to existing tools;
- Manages primary and backup Data Centre’s and all shore-based server rooms throughout the fleet;
- Resolves high priority and complex customer problems and recommends appropriate strategies for the data center environments;
- Supports the Technology Services budget by making recommendations in the areas of server and storage requirements

**Education/Academic Requirements (specific degrees/certifications/licences)**:

- Degree or diploma in Computer Systems or an IT related discipline from a recognized college or technical school and/or satisfactory evidence of work experience and significant on the job experience in Information Technology
- Industry certifications as applicable

**Work Experience Requirements (specify breadth and depth)**:

- Demonstrated experience building ,maintaining and providing support for server environments in an Information Technology setting
- Experience with designing, building and maintaining system management tools and managing systems at an enterprise level;
- Experience designing, building and maintaining virtual server environments;
- Experience building, maintaining and providing support for SAN environments;
- Experience building, maintaining and providing support for Windows server environments;
- Team lead / leadership experience would be an asset

**Competency Requirements**:

- Knowledge and experience with Active Directory, Group policy and DFS and other Microsoft Enterprise technologies;
- Knowledge and experience with Windows server environment and its interoperability within a complex enterprise and distributed network;
- Knowledge and experience with virtualization technologies;
- Broad knowledge of network and IT security components, including firewalls, anti-virus software, data encryption, and other industry-standard technologies, techniques and practices;
- Ability to effectively establish on-going working relationships with customers and suppliers;
- Ability to effectively lead, motivate and direct teams;
- Ability to work cooperatively within diverse teams;
- Ability to identify and serve internal and external customers consistently, achieving a high level of customer satisfaction through assessing needs, establishing goals and resolving issues;
- Ability to discover and diagnose problems and take appropriate actions

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $100,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
