Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group (“CC&L FG”) is looking for a Performance Analyst to join our Vancouver based Performance and Attribution Reporting Team (PAR). The primary focus of the team is to provide Post-Trade Analytics, which supports the investment management process. We are a team of professionals that interact with all levels of the organization including direct contact with our Portfolio Managers.

**What You Will Do**
We create and provide analytics from various sources to measure the outcome of investment decisions. Our data provides insights to internal and external stakeholders, who receive our data through a variety of channels. The core analytic categories would include performance, attribution, risk, and portfolio characteristics. We have several tools and systems in place to aid us, but understanding investment strategies/mandates and post-trade analytics is key to ensure reporting is done accurately. The job will typically have a good balance between scheduled tasks, ad hoc requests/problem solving and continuous process improvement in both independent and collaborative settings. Our analysts are empowered to thrive as process owners with both the freedom and responsibility that comes with delegation. Key responsibilities include:
- Investment performance calculations, attribution analysis, holdings-based analytics and portfolio risk reporting across public asset classes.
- Support sales and marketing requests and provide data for RFPs and DDQs
- Research, propose, and maintain performance measurement and attribution methodologies for existing and new products.
- Develop and manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide analytical problem solving and troubleshooting.
- Identify process improvements and leverage best practices across the team.
- Understand new products and ensure proper reporting is in place.

- Technology Savvy
- You are able to pick up new Systems and tools quickly. You have moderate to advanced computer skills with an emphasis on MS Excel and have a desire to learn basic database query languages.
- Education - You have an Undergraduate degree in business, mathematics or a related field. You are also enrolled (or considering enrollment) in the CFA or CIPM program.
- Industry Knowledge - 1 to 3 years’ experience in the investment management industry or comparable. Any direct experience with Investment analytics or performance measurement would be considered an asset.
The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 Per Annum. The salary range provided reflects the base salary range for this position as required by legislation. In addition, there is an annual performance bonus which contributes to the total compensation of this position. Further questions may be directed to the HR team during the interview process.
