**Salary Range**: $55,000 - $70,000/yr
The commercial software division within Intellifi is the leading provider of mortgage valuation and software for the commercial real estate finance industry in Canada. Our clients include some of Canada’s most prominent financial institutions, investment managers and pension funds. We are seeking an experienced technology professional with excellent communication skills to join our team as a Reporting Analyst. The ideal Reporting Analyst will have a love of analyzing data with a focus on deriving actionable information from data who is also excited to learn new technologies to support our growing business. **Role and Responsibilities**:
- Work with internal/external stakeholders to define and create BI solutions.
- Translate business requirements into technical BI/Report requirements, design, report outputs, data extracts and other data analysis tools.
- Assist in developing data-driven decisioning tools and other resources.
- Deliver a solid technical solution with consideration to security, performance, usability, reliability, and scalability of the BI solution.
- Use effective communication skills to ensure projects and expectations are delivered successfully.
- Come up with innovative or creative ways to view or interact with data, including new ways to access, present, analyze, or draw conclusions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Power BI features and functionalities.
**This role is for you if you have**:
- Completed a degree in MIS, Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent.
- Experience in building data warehouses and dimensional models that follow the star/snowflake schema.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Power BI, Power BI Service, DAX, and Power Query.
- Experience in maintenance, building and troubleshooting data artifacts (reports, dataflows & pipelines, data models & datasets, queries etc.)
- Proficiency in SQL, including writing and optimizing complex queries.
- Familiarity with Python, particularly for data manipulation, analysis, and integrating with APIs.
- Strong organizational skills to manage parallel, complex projects.
- The ability to prioritize and manage short timeframes to deliver technical solutions with the information provided.
