DESCRIPTION
The **Overhead Door Technician - Electrical Installer **role takes the lead in all operator installations and electrical components for the installation crew. Each day on the job will be different. From sites to products, to customers, to technical challenges - the Electrical Installer is a master of problem-solving and precision. Focusing on safety first, OHD ensures each technician has the training and equipment to do their job at the standard to uphold our legacy. In this position, you will participate in all commercial installation tasks, taking the lead on the electrical side of the department, in a variety of different locations around the Lower Mainland.
This role works closely with the other technicians and reports directly to the Installation Supervisor, Monday through Friday, 7:30am-4pm, plus the potential for overtime. A company vehicle, as well as first aid, forklift, fit testing, fall protection, scissor/boom lift, etc. certifications, will be provided.
QUALIFICATIONS
This role requires a high level of focus on safety and solutions, adaptability, and a positive “can-do” attitude, as well as:
- Minimum 4 years experience installing or servicing commercial doors and gates
- Electrical experience and comfort
- Customer service focus
- Team player with effective communication skills
- Self-directed time-management skills
- Ability to multi-task in an often high-pressure environment
- Valid BC Drivers license and clean abstract
NICE TO HAVES
- FSR certification
- Welding experience
- Current certifications in any of the areas listed above
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
