Learning Technology Integrationist

**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Director of Information & Learning Technology, the Learning Technology Integrationist plays a key role in enhancing learning _with_ and _about_ technology for students and teachers across our Primary Years Programme (PK3-Grade 5). They work closely with the faculty and divisional leadership teams, parents and students, and other members of staff to ensure the responsible and creative use of technology, and identify, share, and promote best practice involving digital tools and the integration of technology in teaching and learning.
The Learning Technology Integrationist supports teachers in developing their skills and confidence in this area, addressing the diverse technology development needs of our faculty by offering coaching and training to groups and individuals, both in and out of the classroom. They must be a clear communicator and possess strong interpersonal skills, as well as the enthusiasm and credibility to create and sustain momentum in the use of technology for learning.
**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Support deep integration of Digital Literacy and Citizenship (DLC) programming in the school community:
- Develop age-appropriate resources and materials which support digital citizenship and literacy skill development for PK-G5 students
- Collaborate with the Upper School learning technology integrationists to ensure enhance the DLC scope and sequence, and ensure alignment of DLC skills across the PK-12 continuum
- Work with classroom teachers and curriculum coordinators to identify opportunities to authentically link DLC learning to the written and taught curriculum
- Share tips and strategies for home use of technology for learning and recreation with parents/guardians, including thorough live and virtual information sessions and workshops
- Work with the PYP Learning Strategies team to identify, procure and evaluate assistive technologies which further support students with learning differences
- Build Faculty capacity in the effective teaching of creative and design technologies:
- Work closely with the Studios and Makerspace Manager to ensure optimal use of our state-of-the-art Maker Space
- Encourage, support, and train faculty in the integration of design technologies (i.e. coding, robotics, 3D printing, 3D design, drones, electronics, virtual reality, etc.) into existing curriculum
- Teach coding, robotics, and other creative and design technologies as integration opportunities are identified
- Support students in utilising creative and design technologies as options for completing projects and assessments
- Work with teachers to integrate technology to enhance student learning.
- Identify, coordinate and support the learning technology training needs of all staff through workshops, sharing of good practice, and in-class modelling and demonstration
- Train and upskill teachers in best practice use of devices and classroom tech to enhance learning
- Work with teachers in all divisions to support the use of age-appropriate learning technology
- Pilot, evaluate, and grow innovative technologies that support effective pedagogy
- Additional responsibilities:
- Stay current and share with colleagues information about emerging learning technologies, teaching strategies, and research with respect to technology for teaching and learning
- Support Mulgrave’s Strategic Plan goals for technology
- Lead/teach courses and/or co curricular clubs related to robotics, coding, electronics or game-based learning (such as VEX Go, Lego Mindstorms, Python or block-based programming, Minecraft Edu, Co-Spaces or Unity for Oculus). This may include after school/weekend programming for workshops and community access
- Participate in learning technology and related committees, focus and professional learning groups within Mulgrave and beyond
- At times, work with Upper School faculty and students (G6-12) as needed

- Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress for the purposes of teaching, learning and reporting
- Participate in faculty and parent meetings and special events
- Model respectful and timely communication with students, colleagues and parents
- Attend professional development workshops as required by the school
