OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

Reporting to the Regional OHS Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for supporting activities related to occupational health and safety management for two distribution centres and one production site.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER:

- Participate in the development and evolution of a proactive OHS culture within the sites covered;
- Adapt the corporate OHS programmes to the reality and needs of the sites, deploy them with the help of the work teams and develop site-specific OHS programmes as required;
- Participate in the evaluation and implementation of all projects in collaboration with the various departments in the complex;
- Implementing and coordinating all activities relating to the emergency measures program;
- Carrying out risk analyses relating to operations, in conjunction with the internal and external parties concerned;
- Coordinating and leading health and safety committee meetings and various training sessions;
- Coordinating trainings with departmental managers and monitoring health and safety trainings;
- Produce various reports to monitor health and safety issues;
- Participate in drawing up the sites' annual OHS budgets;
- Work with the Regional OHS Manager to establish OHS objectives for the region, more specifically for the sites for which the incumbent is responsible.

YOU ARE BEST SUITED FOR THE ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:

- University degree in a specialty related to management or occupational health and safety (e.g. engineering, science, administration, industrial psychology, human resources);
- 3 to 5 years' experience in health and safety in a medium to large organisation, preferably in the food sector;
- Experience in team management (an asset);
- Health and safety certificate (an asset);
- Ability to manage several external stakeholders simultaneously;
- Good knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation;
- Good command of the Microsoft Office suite;
- Strong oral and written communication skills;
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written; Team leadership and mobilisation skills.
