**RZR Tours**:
Spend your days off-roading around Whistler’s backcountry As a RZR Wilderness Guide, you'll get to experience the thrill of adventure every day, while sharing your love for the outdoors with our guests. Our mission is to create spectacular experiences. Delivering the best of the outdoors to visitors in a safe, fun and unforgettable locale. Safety is the main priority and is the foundation of all decisions made while guiding. The expectation is that our guides (you) show guests a surreal experience, in a safe environment while positively representing The Adventure Group (TAG) and adapting to the diverse needs of each guest. We collectively create memories for guests and co-workers alike while being safety conscious and enthusiastic.
**A day as a RZR Wilderness Guide**:
- Tour prep - knowing who, what, where, why and when. Ensure all RZRs are in top condition, trails are clear and we’re good to go.
- Greet guests arriving at Cougar. We want to get everyone excited and calm any nerves whilst ensuring all necessary safety information is given.
- Gear up - distribute the necessary safety gear, including helmets and goggles.
- Head out to the RZRs and seatbelt up Safety comes first so further equipment checks to ensure we have everything in place to ensure the safety of our guests and staff at all time.
- Peddle to the metal - its tour time You’ll be ripping up rugged terrain in a coastal rainforest, stopping at viewpoints, showing your guests the amazing Whistler backcountry
- Keep an eye on all guests - you will stay as a group so you will be responsible for adjusting the speed and route based on the group's skill level
- Ensure good, clear communication with your teammates and keep in contact with basecamp throughout the tour.
- Back to base - you’ll be gearing up again to run 2-3 tours per day depending on the season
- Teamwork makes the dreamwork so you’ll work with the rest of our guides to keep basecamp clean, tidy and ready for the next day.
- Finish the day with a sense of accomplishment and excitement, knowing that you've helped our guests create memories that they'll never forget.
**Key Qualifications and Attributes**:
- Must maintain a valid 80-hour First Aid Certification or higher. Guides must carry a complete level 1 first-aid kit and a functional (i.e. charged) handheld radio with them on all tours in a radio pack.
- Valid Driver’s License and comfortable driving in rugged terrain (Class 4 license is an asset)
- Previous experience working in customer service, outdoor activities and/or adventure tourism an asset
- Be physically fit: able to lift up to 30lbs, be outdoors and on feet for majority of day in variable weather conditions, high degree of mobility and able to use both hands for physical work
- Positive, supportive, respectful attitude - with both guests and staff
- Flexible and adaptable - every day is different; every tour is different. This role requires someone who is calm working under pressure
