**The Opportunity: As part of a multi-disciplinary team, the Mental Health Clinician provides a range of mental health services to children, youth and their families within a First Nations cultural and socioeconomic setting. Therapy service areas may include: Trauma, Anger, Spirituality, Parenting, Abuse, Confusion, Stress, Grief, Depression, Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Dissociation, Substance Abuse and Addiction issues.**
- Conducts research and prepares case histories on individuals, families and groups referred by other service providers.
- Provides individual, family and groups assessment in one or a combination of the following area: attitudinal, cognitive psycho physiological, affective, and/or behavioral functions.
- Assists clients with the identification and measurement of their unique individual, family or group mental health issues which may require modification or amelioration to improve their behavior adjustment, adaptation, personal effectiveness, or social competence and satisfaction.
- Prepares an agreed upon case plan with the client that contains goals for mental health issue modification/ amelioration and the behavioral change methods for achieving those goals.
- Develops a tailored approach to counseling and intervention methods through one, or a combination of individual psychotherapy, group therapy, couple’s therapy, family therapy, and personal enhancement interventions.
- Liaises with a multidisciplinary team of health and social service professionals to assist with case planning, assessment, treatment implementation, including follow-up and case management.
- Participates in ICT meetings; including; process, care planning and follow up, resource planning, standards while maximizing the scope of practice of ICT members

**What You Will Bring to The Role**:

- ** Master’s Degree in Social Work, Educational Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or comparable degree with strong clinical skills**:

- ** Registered, or eligible to be registered, with their respective professional bodies**:

- ** Two years of related experience with responsibility for providing a range of community based mental health services.**
