Williams and White Manufacturing is a company that provides Machining and Fabricating services to a wide variety industries.

The Production Manager is a individual with in depth knowledge of Machining and Fabricating procedures. This person coordinates the whole facility running one, two or three shifts to produces our customers parts ON TIME, ON BUDGET and with per QUALITY. He or She is a dynamic leader that always keeps the customer requirements top if mind.

These tasks include the following main systems:

- Production scheduling
- Working with suppliers
- Working with the shop floor and scheduling the workforce

QUALIFICATIONS
- The following are the principal qualifications for this position:_
- Degree or Equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (with extensive machining and fabricating knowledge) or a Journeyman Machinist_
- In Depth Scheduling knowledge_
- Project Management Experience (PMP preferable)_
- Ability to coach and mentor direct reports
- Ability to mediate employee conflicts
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, vendors or employees.
- Able to work with many different teams on multiple projects simultaneously
- At least 5 years experience in a Manufacturing Company
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent technical abilities
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Good team leadership aptitude
- Must have basic mechanical ability to troubleshoot production problems.
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong people management skills
- Superior problem-solving and analytical skills
- Technical or Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of the processes involved with the machining of metal products

AUTHORITIES
- The following are principal authorities granted to this position:_
- Access to personnel files
- Add and remove duties from direct reports
- Allocate Resources
- Schedule and prioritize orders to meet customer requirements in the most cost-effective manner
- Approve vacation time
- Call in resources to maintain machinery and equipment
- Develop and control the writing of procedures and training tools for the department.
- Hiring and termination of department staff
- Make changes to any Project or Group Schedule
- Monitor and evaluate performance of subordinates
- Schedule and prioritize orders to meet customer requirements in the most cost-effective manner
- Set commitment dates for projects.
- Set shipping dates for orders
- Suspend any person in violation of company policies
DUTIES:

- The following are the duties for this position:_
- Assist with interviewing new employees as requested
- Lead by example, following proper systems and procedures, and reporting any breakdowns to the General Manager.
- Sit in on all performance reviews conducted by direct reports
- Ensure the health, safety, cleanliness and security of the work environment
- Ensures that supplies and tooling are not wasted.
- Obeys all safety rules and regulations, and ensures that all employees obey safety rules and regulations.
- Assigns work so personnel are scheduled one week in advance.
- Close and lock buildings at the end of the work day.
- Coordinate with production for efficiency and accuracy.
- Work with the foreman to schedule resources
- Oversee inventory and controls
- Check time cards to monitor resources
- Review projects to ensure materials and resources are available
- Identify and address inefficiencies in the production flow
- Ensure all shop systems are followed
- Ensure that the foreman is providing cross-training to all staff
- Proactively identify and mitigate dependencies on human resources in the shop
- Review the quality control documentation of all jobs

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
