RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Technical management of the members of the Product Quality team.
- Clear ability to setup, create, communicate and present various reports.
- Sets up metrics, KPIs, team evaluations, test strategies, team development strategies, coaching, processes & procedures.
- Leads and advocates for the system verification process: Requirements & assumptions, test case development, test cycle execution, exit criteria and strategy, results reporting, debug, support, reviews at appropriate stages.
- Develops and executes Systems Verification test plans and test cases based on product requirements and design specifications.
- Identifies testing that can be automated and works independently to develop automated tests based on system and performance requirements. Assists with the development of functional test procedures and setups.
- Assist software team with release management and other product development items;
- Investigate and evaluate new technology, tools, hardware, and software;
QUALIFICATIONS:
The following criteria are the minimum qualifications required for this position:

- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Thorough understanding of design verification processes, tools, and instruments.
- Capable of mentoring junior team members.
- Able to meet schedules by evaluating inputs from multiple sources & prioritizing work.
- Experience with Linux, Java, Selenium, Bash, Python, C#, C/C++, Git
- Experience developing system verification & validation test plans and cases from product requirements and HW/SW specifications
- Experience with developing automated test and data analysis from test data
- Experience executing system verification test plans and reporting results
- Experience with Linux and IP Networking
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively towards defined deliverables
- Good analytical and empirical problem-solving abilities
- Dedication to documentation and respect for established best test practices
- Superior communication skills: verbal, written, and interpersonal.
- Experience or desire to learn media & communications systems: Satellite (DVB-S, PSK), Cable (DVB-C, QAM, MPEG), Terrestrial (DVB-T, ATSC, ISDB-T), NTSC & PAL, and Others
- Flexibility to work overtime as required;
SUPERVISION:
This position will not supervise staff.

FINANCIAL:
This position does not have financial management responsibilities.

TRAVEL:
This position does not require travel.
