Reporting to the Sr. Project Manager, Ontario Canada, the Field Manager, will be responsible for the operational and safety performance of designated regions, with a goal of achieving best in class customer service and quality. Duties will include directing the coordination of field-based inspections and requirements.

**What You'll Do Here**:

- Responsible for overseeing a team of inspectors to deliver best in class customer service and quality results.
- Liaise with the Project Manager to schedule out inspections accordingly and within reasonable timeframes.
- Conduct regular field inspections to ensure the quality and safety of work the team is completing.
- Responsible for implementing and monitoring of the company’s safety policy for the designated region.
- Provide ongoing coaching and training of employees.
- Review and approve timesheets, expense reports, vacation requests, and training requests, within limits of authority.
- Responsible for performance management of all direct report employees including, but not limited to, coaching/mentoring, assistance with career planning and training, preparation of yearly and mid-year performance reviews.
- Report progress and issues to the Sr. Project Manager regarding financial performance, workload status, and potential opportunities of improvement.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients and subcontractors.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.

**What You Bring to the Team**:

- Minimum 5 years of experience dealing with field inspectors and technicians in a leadership role.
- Maintain a valid provincial driver’s license with the ability to provide a driver’s abstract quarterly.
- Installation and repair experience and knowledge in Hydro and Telecommunications is considered a strong asset.
- Familiarity with reviewing overhead and underground construction projects in field is considered a strong asset.
- Works effectively in a team environment (subcontractors, tech’s, office staff, management, other) under pressure.
- Must be willing to occasionally travel for meetings across Ontario when required.
- Strong organizational and planning skills (Project Management expertise)
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills in both written and verbal contexts.
- Proven leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
- Excellent computer skills, functional with key MS Office software
- Willing to work flexible hours and schedule (on-call, occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays)
