Regional Inventory Controller

Douglas Lake Equipment/Avenue Machinery Corp. (DLEAMC) is a distinguished dealership specializing in farm and construction equipment, representing reputable brands such as Kubota, Fendt, Massey Ferguson, New Holland, and Kobelco products.
The Regional Inventory Controller is responsible for overseeing and optimizing whole goods inventory within their designated region. This role requires a solid understanding of sales trends, regional demand, and market fluctuations to make informed inventory recommendations. The Regional Inventory Controller works closely with the Regional Sales Manager, the GM of Sales and Marketing, and the Corporate Asset Manager to ensure that new inventory ordering aligns with the company’s sales goals while balancing carrying costs and maximizing inventory turns. This role reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager.
The primary objectives are to support regional sales goals, manage new equipment ordering, assist in high-demand allocation, and facilitate efficient movement of inventory within branches. This role also serves as a bridge between OEMs and internal stakeholders to coordinate timely ordering and special allocations.
Key Responsibilities:
**1. Inventory Strategy & Ordering**:Assist Regional Sales Manager in determining product stocking needs based on sales data and market demand. Lead ordering for small and compact equipment, and collaborate with sales teams for larger orders.
**2. Inventory Monitoring & Adjustment**:Track inventory levels, optimize stock movement across branches, and manage aged/used equipment in alignment with regional goals.
**3. Inter-Regional Coordination & Diversions**:Approve and oversee inventory transfers, coordinate logistics for equipment movement, and ensure supply balance across locations.
**4. Collaboration & Support**:Partner with Branch Sales Coordinators, Corporate Asset Manager, and Sales teams to support inventory processes, including allocations, transfers, and performance targets.
**5. Operational Consistency & Reporting**:Help implement consistent inventory practices, develop SOPs, and provide regular inventory performance reports.

Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in inventory management, sales operations, or a related field, preferably in agriculture or construction equipment.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficient in inventory software and Microsoft Office, with the ability to create reports and dashboards.
- Proven problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
**Work Conditions**:

Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
