Reporting to the Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager and Supervisors at the Everything Wine River District store at 8570 River District Crossing, the Beer Specialist is a part time, permanent role that assists the Beer Buyer with all aspects of the Beer Category in store.

This role is a great steppingstone to potentially move into the Beer Buyer role over time.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Beer enthusiast with solid understanding of the industry.
- Assisting the buyer with all aspects of the beer category in store including (but not limited to): ordering, receiving, product placement, seasonal rotation, cleanliness, inventory management, and price tags.
- Ensure all corresponding invoices are counted accurately, and follow up on any discrepancies.
- Stay on top of beer trends, movement, customer feedback while maintaining an unbiased mindset.
- Makes all buying decisions based on trends, movement and customer feedback while maintaining an unbiased mindset.
- Assist with any corporate marketing directives that are beer focused.
- Coordinate all defective replacements.
- Maintain a constant presence on the floor while being a leader in terms of customer service and knowledge.
- Create new relationships with breweries and their representatives while maintaining and building upon existing ones.
- Work closely with the buyer and store management team to help identify opportunities to expand our customer base and increase store traffic.

**Qualifications**:

- 2 years liquor industry experience
- 2-3 years retail or customer service experience
- Serving It Right certificate
