**What can I expect in this role?**

**You will**:
Verify that work is completed to standards or repair requirements.

Inspect and monitor work areas to prevent, detect and correct unsafe conditions.

Monitor employees' work levels and review work performance.

Perform skilled repair or maintenance operations, using equipment such as hand or power tools, hydraulic presses or shears, or welding equipment.

Monitor tool and part inventories to ensure adequate supplies are available.

Requisition materials and supplies, such as tools, equipment, or replacement parts.

Confer with personnel, such as management, engineering, or customer, to coordinate work activities, resolve employee grievances, or identify and review resource needs.

Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, quantity of equipment, and skill of personnel.

Examine objects, systems, or facilities and analyze information to determine needed installations, services, or repairs.

Counsel employees about work-related issues and assist employees to correct job-skill deficiencies.

Recommend or initiate personnel actions, such as hires, promotions, transfers, discharges, or disciplinary measures.

Participate in accident investigations. Report injuries. Ensure company policy is followed by all workers.

Ensure injured workers follow return-to-work procedures.

Conduct or arrange for worker training in safety, repair, or maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use.

Develop, implement, or evaluate maintenance policies and procedures.

Meet with vendors or suppliers to discuss products used in repair work.

Participate in budget preparation and administration, coordinating purchasing and documentation and monitoring departmental expenditures.

Compile operational or personnel records, such as time and production records, inventory data, repair or maintenance statistics, or test results.

Complete weekly Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Shop Inspection. Communicate findings to all workers.

Lead a weekly tool box talk highlighting the JSA and Shop Inspection.

Approve weekly timesheets of all workers.

**What is the working environment like?**

**Working Conditions**

This position includes:

- Working in the shop at 406 Harmony Rd, Ayr
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Monday
- Thursday 7:00-4:30 and Friday 7:00 to 3:30 pm
- Ability to work extra hours to accommodate project deadlines

**Requirements**:

- Supervisor Health and Safety in 5 Steps
- Driver’s License

**Transportation**
- Public transit is not available

This is a Permanent Fulltime position. A work week consists of 44 hours. Overtime is required occasionally. Pay is based on experience and ability. The range is $40-45/hour.
