**Laundry Technician Job Description**

The Laundry Technician is responsible for following instructions on work orders, focused on quality, cost control and consistency. Ensures all aspects of job are completed as per protocols. Follows and maintains a 5S culture and mindset.

**Responsibilities**:

- Mitigate further damage and loss of soft contents
- Inspect for pre-existing damages and reports same, including photos and piece count
- Process as required items through in-house or sub trade, in a timely manner
- Perform daily operation and maintenance of the laundry equipment as per protocols
- Maintain effective and timely communications with all internal/external stakeholders to achieve project deliverables
- Complete all necessary documentation required for invoicing
- Manage and maintain company assets consistent with business image and expectations
- Sustain a Health & Safety environment focused on prevention of accident / incident
- Action personal performance and appearance consistent with company policies and procedures
- Provide direction or support in other areas as requested/required

**Qualification and Requirements**:

- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid G driver’s licence
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
- Understanding of restoration business
- Understanding of têxtile restoration
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role
- Basic computer skills required, proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Cross training into Contents Technician

**Of Note**

Disasters can strike at any time so a rotating schedule of 24/7 after hours on-call work is a requirement.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
