Receiving Clerk

**Job Purpose**
The receiving clerk ensures the accuracy for all inbound shipments, in house inventory, proper date rotation and product storage for an effortless transition to the shipping department.
**Essential duties and Responsibilities**
- Accept and inspect all inbound shipments into the building safely, finalizing BOL paperwork with drivers
- Maintain accuracy of all inbound products by ensuring correct inventory quantities, units of measure, country of origin and required dating
- Inform supervisor of all inventory discrepancies and damages
- Manage on hand inventory, in conjunction with the warehouse supervisor
- Uphold an accurate pick location system to support the shipping department
- Supervise and manage the receiving support staff to guarantee all products are stored and rotated correctly, ensuring all lifting and stocking is being performed in a safe manor
- Communicate with the supervisor to strategize priority shipments/ receiving
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by staying organized and discarding of all extra materials correctly
- Support the shipping department when all other receiving duties and responsibilities have been fulfilled
**Skills and qualifications**
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with freight partners and team members
- Excellent computer proficiency in but not limited to QuickBooks and MS Office - Word, Excel and Outlook
- Must be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and goals, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary teamwork and leadership
- Ability to work independently or as a team leader to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices or policy
**Physical requirements**
- Ability to lift and load up to 40 pounds
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with work safe BC standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with company standards
**Salary**: From $19.00 per hour
