**The Opportunity**:
Part of the OpenText America’s Total Rewards team, reporting to the Director of Benefits, the Benefits Manager is a key member of the Benefits Centre of Excellence. This is a hybrid role, in Waterloo or Richmond Hill, Ontario Canada.

The Benefits Manager will lead, recommend, and manage benefits and well+being programs for Canada, Latin America, and South America. These include medical, prescription, dental, vision, life / disability, paid-time off, leaves, perquisites (including car allowances, transport/meal vouchers, etc.) and holistic well+being. This person will have demonstrated experience in managing renewals and driving change for the benefit of the business and employees.

**You Are Great At**:

- Building and recommending benefits, perquisites, and well+being growth strategy, in collaboration with benefits consultants, external market data, internal collaboration / feedback, and employee listening
- Leading, developing, and measuring well+being activities which may include educational sessions, approved newsletters, tools & resources (building and presenting business cases as needed)
- Actively engages with internal teams (global, HR-SS, retirement, Rewards, EMEA, APJ) to determine global synergies; incorporates feedback into strategy
- Remains active and informed of new, current, and pending compliance requirements for managed programs within assigned countries; makes recommendations as needed
- Creates business cases to support the regions which may include new programs, operational efficiencies, and/or new or existing compliance requirements
- Supports other countries, globally and regionally, as needed
- Special projects as they arise

**What It Takes**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, HR
- 5+ years global benefits management experience (preferred Canada, Mexico, and Brazil)
- Proven experience driving change, partnering successfully with others
- Experience with M&A due diligence, change management, and integration
- Experience with Microsoft Office Tools
- Fluency in French would be a strong bonus
- Fluency in Portuguese and/or Spanish would be helpful
