SaskEnergy is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our team. The Compensation Analyst provides compensation expertise and support through the successful delivery of the organization’s total rewards strategy. The Analyst will research, implement, and support the company’s pay and compensation structures.

Position Details- Non-union - This position is permanent full time.

Key Accountabilities- Contribute and implement the organization’s compensation programs while continually evaluating programs for improvement opportunities.- Assist in the design and administration total compensation programs including base pay, pay at risk, annual compensation reviews and market analysis.- Responsible to generate governance reporting on cyclical basis ensuring detail and accuracy.- Assist in the development and administration of compensation related policies.- Provide general support to benefit programs design and administration including leave policies, extended heath care programs and pension plan.- Provide consultation to HRBPs on compensation philosophy for offers of employment, promotions, and other off-cycle adjustments.- Monitor the relevant reference markets to maintain the desired positioning of the salary structure, other overall compensation practices in accordance with the organization.- Provide business-specific, ad hoc, and project-related analysis.- Support the organization’s survey exercises, including data collection as needed.- Participate in and contribute to the development of tools, workshops, and reference materials for making informed total rewards and compensation-based decisions.- Support the HR team with audits, research, analysis, and recommendations for various situations related to compensation programs and structure.- Deal with all management levels and employees as a resource for compensation-based inquiries.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related discipline.- Three (3) years of human resources analyst experience, including experience in compensation and benefits.- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) is an asset.- Extensive knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. Advanced proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, complex formulas).- Strong detail orientation with the ability to identify trends.- Effective organizational skills, including time management and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.- Must have a thorough knowledge of the compensation cycle, including salary administration, surveys, market analysis.

A suitable combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered.

Additional Information- Travel, including overnight stays away from bid headquarters, is required on occasion.
