The **Purchasing Manager **is integral in the achievement of SeedMaster's operational objectives. You will take a proactive approach in reviewing current purchasing systems and procedures; make recommendations and implement purchasing and outsourcing systems. The role is strategic and is key to securing quality suppliers of materials and components; covering price, delivery, quality targets and inventory procedures.

**Key accountabilities include**:

- Support the senior management team at a strategic level to achieve objectives required to aid production of existing and new product development
- Participate with departments on the evalution of materials and their successful integration to the production end of the business
- Identify current and future trends in the market place
- Represent SeedMaster in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers
- Direct and coordinate the activities of the puchasing group engaged in buying, selling and distributing materials, equipment, machinery and supplies.
- Manage and control all SeedMaster's external suppliers with particular emphasis on the purchase of materials; raw and finished parts for production.

**Requirements**:

- Business education, designation, or senior level equivalent training and experience
- 8+ years in a similar role
- Proficient understanding of materials and services procurement
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, organizational, and time management skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Regina, SK S4L 1C6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- purchasing: 8 years (preferred)
