**Position Statement/Summary**
Reporting to the Director of Interprofessional Primary Care, Allied Health, the Manager of Interprofessional Primary Care, Allied Health provides operational leadership and regular oversight for the allied health services, including: staff support and development, management and monitoring of day-to-day delivery of care and services (including support to the reception and administration team), implementation of new allied health initiatives, managing changes in care processes, ensuring the achievement of care goals/targets through regular monitoring of performance. The Manager is also responsible for managing budgets and schedules, and annual operations planning with the Director of IPC, Allied Health.
The Manager works in active partnership with other members of CommunitiCare Health management team and their staff to achieve the Vision, Mission, and Strategic Goals of the organization. The management team works to reflect organizational values, and actively supports their team through regular quality improvement.

**Key Responsibilities**
**Allied HealthCare Services**
- Supports the Director of Interprofessional Primary Care (IPC), Allied Health to ensure the effective delivery of allied health care services at multiple sites.
- Manages day to day operations of a team of allied health care professionals, including social workers, therapists, community health workers, kinesiologists, occupational therapists, kinesiologists, and massage therapists. Works collaboratively with the Director of IPC, Allied Health and allied team to develop, monitor and evaluate services and systems, to ensure efficient and effective delivery of high quality of allied health care services which are response to emerging needs in the community.
- Works collaboratively with the Director of IPC, Allied Health to oversee and monitor the budget related to allied health services.
- Promotes the implementation of evidence informed best practices programs, services and care pathways.
- Works collaboratively with both Directors of Interprofessional Primary Care (Allied Health and Medical Services), as well as the Manager of IPC, Medical Services in the planning, coordination and delivery of inter-professional, team-based primary care services
- Chairs/co-chairs (along with Director, as needed) regular allied health team meetings.
- Works with the allied health team to develop a collaborative, safe, and innovative working environment.
- Works with the allied health team to identify opportunities to improve efficiency of service delivery to optimize access to care; oversees the implementation and evaluation of change initiatives.
- Ensures all allied staff are working to their full scope of practice.
- Supports the allied health team in addressing practice challenges and issues.
- Monitors performance data regularly, and reviews data regularly with allied health providers; provides coaching and support to staff as need to ensure performance targets are met.
- Works with the allied health team to organize and support successful student placements.
- Participates in the review and preparation of policy and protocol development, as well as organizational performance reviews.
**Corporate Services Support**
- Supports the development of organizational performance indicators and ensures that they are attained via QI and performance improvement methods.
- Contributes to the development of grant proposals as needed.
- Occasionally externally promotes the agency at public forums, community events, etc.
