**What you'll be doing day to day**
- Lead the area of Occupational Health and Safety, aligning strategic and tactical objectives with business needs.
- Lead and inspire a safety driven performance mind-set, raise awareness and promote a safety culture throughout the country and organization.
- Ensure organizational compliance with health and safety legislation, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Develop, update, and review occupational health and safety policies, standards, and procedures (Local Rules, SOPs, WOW).
- Facilitate and perform Compliance Reviews at a country level as an integrated member of the Country Business Risk and Compliance Team.
- Organize and consult on risk assessment activities, identifying interventions and best practices related to occupational health and safety.
- Review and update ongoing management and co-worker training to comply with OHSA, WHMIS, and WCB legislated requirements.
- Create and maintain health and safety dashboards, analyze workplace injury, incident, and illness data, and recommend remedial measures.
- Provide guidance in Joint Health and Safety Committees (JHSC) and the broader area of occupational health and safety.
- Adapt, implement, and operate global occupational health and safety frameworks based on risk context, business needs, and local regulations.
- Facilitate learning activities and competence networks to ensure the right competence and knowledge within units and country organizations.
- There will have a travel requirement of up to 30%

The starting salary for this position ranges from $79000 to $100000 and will be based on relevant work experience.
