Worksite Safety Compliance Centre is expanding its instructor-led training team, specifically for the CPO-approved Working at Heights program. If you are a knowledgeable and experienced health and safety instructor who is passionate about construction safety education and keeping workers safe, this role is for you


This part-time hourly-based position will deliver Working at Heights instruction at our
Burlington Training Centre and occasionally at other sites across the province.

The role reports to the Manager, Instructor-Led Training and working hours will be approximately hours per week (1 to 3 classes) on weekends (daytime) and weekday evenings (4-9pm).

As a Health & Safety Instructor your
key responsibilities are:

  • Delivering engaging and informative Working at Heights training to job seekers, the general public and new and current members of the construction industry
  • Evaluating participants through practical skills and written evaluation
  • Organizing, filing and submitting digital and hard copy participant records following training
  • Participating in team meetings and instructor development workshops
  • Following any provincial guidelines for COVID19 in the classroom if required
  • 3+ years experience delivering training
  • Background in construction management and/or occupational health & safety preferred
  • Strong interest educating people on the importance and value of health & safety training
  • Selfstarter who is able to work independently, while also contributing to a team
  • Strong presentation and adultengagement skills
  • Valid Ontario's Driver Licence occasional travel by car for work
  • Able to legally work in Canada
