Responsibilities:

- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant/hotel
- Escort guests to their tables and provide them with menus
- Assist with seating arrangements to ensure efficient use of dining space
- Take guest reservations and manage the waiting list
- Provide accurate wait times and monitor the dining area for available tables
- Answer phone calls and provide information about the restaurant/hotel services
- Maintain a clean and organized host/host station
- Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems and basic food service procedures
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and composure
- Familiarity with phone etiquette and handling guest inquiries
