**Position Overview**
**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Revenue Growth and Sales Strategy**:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue growth targets.
- Analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and create plans to capture market share.
- Ensure alignment of sales strategies with overall business objectives and corporate vision.
**2. Customer Relationship Management**:
- Manage and nurture relationships with three tiers of customers: provincial cannabis boards, key accounts, and retailers.
- Negotiate and secure contracts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Foster strong partnerships and collaboration with key stakeholders to drive mutual growth.
**3. Team Leadership and Development**:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing national sales team.
- Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Encourage a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement.
**4. Field Sales Management**:
- Oversee the activities and performance of field sales teams across Canada.
- Implement effective sales processes, tools, and technologies to enhance field sales efficiency and effectiveness.
- Monitor field sales performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed to achieve targets.
**5. Strategic Planning and Execution**:
- Collaborate with executive leadership to define and refine long-term sales strategies.
- Ensure the successful execution of sales plans through meticulous planning, resource allocation, and performance monitoring.
- Utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making and optimize sales strategies.
**6. Market and Competitive Analysis**:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes.
- Conduct regular market analysis to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Develop proactive strategies to address market challenges and capitalize on emerging trends.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in sales leadership roles, preferably within the cannabis or related regulated industry.
- Proven success in converting top-level strategy into effective sales strategies and driving significant revenue growth.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a national sales team, with a strong focus on performance and development.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- In-depth knowledge of the Canadian cannabis market, including regulatory landscape and key players.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Willingness to travel nationally as required.
