The Community Resource Centre Program Coordinator will support the organization's efforts towards providing support, programming, and resources to members of our community. The CRC Program Coordinator will provide leadership to Resource Centre staff, develop and strengthen the program, and support the administration of the Resource Centre.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Resource Centre Operations**
- Oversee the day-to day operations of the resource centre
- Research and develop new funding relationships; maintain and enhance current partnerships while building new partnerships with relevant organizations and businesses
- Develop and write funding proposals (in collaboration with the Executive Director)
- Create ways for people to volunteer and/or support each other through existing and new programs and services
- Manage the Resource Centre’s budget and process invoices related to front line services
- Prepare and submit program progress reports to the Assistant Director; include statistical data and measurable outcomes
- Assist with the organization’s activities such as festivals, AGM, etc.
- Ensure all relevant health and safety standards are met in relation to personal safety, the safety of volunteers, and members of the public
- Manage and maintain; place orders for supplies and pick-up as needed; source donations for basic supplies
- Ensure all visitors to the centre sign-in upon arrival; maintain visitor data for monthly reporting
- Ensure cleaning and closing procedures are performed each day; check that all visitors have left the building, all doors are properly closed and locked, computers/keyboards, front desk, tables, chairs, furniture are sanitized, floor swept and mopped and garbage is cleaned

**Supervision/Resource Centre Staff**
- Oversee and coordinate the support services and programming offered to participants
- Act as the main point of contact for Resource Centre staff, community members, and stakeholders
- Mentor and supervise staff in the operation of the resource centre
- Delegate tasks and create resource centre staff work schedules; ensure accurate time sheets are maintained and scheduling requirements are consistently met
- Ensure all resource centre staff review and understand all policies, procedures, responsibilities and expectations from their roles; each staff member is required to sign an acknowledgement form upon review
- Recruit volunteers and provide onboarding, orientation, training. Assign volunteers their tasks.

**Program Development**
- Plan and organize youth, family, and seniors programming at the Resource Centre; create new programming based on feedback received from the community
- Develop fundraising initiatives throughout the fiscal year; set goals to raise additional funding to support resource centre programming
- Create and update weekly resource centre programming schedule; create posters and other info materials to promote on website, social media platforms

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelor’s degree in social work and/or university degree in a relevant field or discipline (e.g., public administration, social services) and/or comparable work experience
- 3+ years of demonstrated knowledge and experience in the social services sector
- Applied counseling, addiction, crisis management and harm-reduction work experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to communicate effectively with a variety of social groups.
- Supervisory experience overseeing a diverse workforce
- Demonstrated project administration and management
- Strong understanding of the relevant approaches in social work: trauma-informed, harm -reduction, anti-racism, and anti-oppression
- Has an excellent understanding of substance use, mental health, and harm reduction gained through direct experience working with individuals
- Can work effectively with staff, participants, service providers, the public, students, and volunteers to address service inquiries, requests and/or complaints,
- Above-average organizational skills, time management, attention to detail, multi-tasking skills and ability to prioritize and work well under pressure
- Advanced skills in a Microsoft Windows environment
- Pro-Active leader with the ability to take initiative, work independently, problem solve, and work collaboratively with staff and others
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends
- Experience working with marginalized people; experience with non-profit organizations is an asset
- Knowledge of the Daniel McIntyre / St. Matthews neighbourhoods is an asset
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driver’s abstract; access to a vehicle is required
- Current Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check
- Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or have legal authorization to work in Canada for the duration of the contract

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
