**Position**: Full-time New Business Specialist

**Work Location**:Hybrid with the majority being remote.

**Job Overview**:
To build relationships with prospective clients and arrange coverage that meets their unique lifestyle. Providing a friendly and relatable client experience is essential by doing our best to ensure clients feel heard, valued, and seen as a person first and foremost.

Office hours are 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday

**Responsibilities**:

- Bind coverage based on insurer and Cornerstone underwriting standards
- Provide professional insurance quotes to clients
- Remain current with awareness of binding authority, underwriting rules, products, and rating procedures of insurance companies
- Build trustworthy relationships with current and prospective clients
- Meet or exceed monthly sales targets

**Education and Experience Requirements**:

- Superior customer service acumen with 5+ years’ experience in customer service industry
- Proven sales experience is an asset
- Proficient using TAM, Applied Rating Services and Microsoft Office an asset
- Completed or working toward an industry designation (CIP/CAIB) would be an asset
- University degree preferred
- Excellent professional communication: Both oral and written.
- Dynamic energy: Networking, enjoyment of meeting new people, and diplomatically working with others.
- Emotional intelligence: Empathetic and sensitive to the feelings of others.
- Punctuality: Timeliness is key to great client experience.
- Customer-focused: Always putting first, the experience of the client as the reason why we are in business.
- Relationship building: Ability to build relationships with clients and coworkers.
- Negotiation skills: Aptitude for achieving outcomes that satisfy all parties while utilizing respectful communication skills.

- Sales: Ability to identify and contact prospective clients

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
