**RFP Proposal and Grant Writer**

A leader in the industry of ability management, Acclaim has offices across Canada working with Employers, Insurers, Lawyers and Government programs to assist individuals in their efforts to return to work or activities of daily living after illness or injury in a timely healthy manner.

**Reports to: Director of Marketing**

**Responsibilities include but not limited to**:

- Determine proposal requirements by identifying and defining objectives within the RFPs.
- Gather information related to the proposal by identifying sources of information, and coordinating with key providers and other internal contributors for additional information if needed.
- Research and identify previously completed projects that meet the requested specifications and demonstrate our ability to complete the proposed work for inclusion in the submission.
- Prepare final submission packages, ensuring all required content is included, and necessary signatures and stamps are affixed.
- Obtain approvals and submit completed proposal to the requester.
- Identify priorities and target dates to ensure that the proposals are submitted on time.
- Establish project schedule, key milestones, and deliverables to ensure all projects are completed on time.
- Efficiently manage multiple, overlapping projects and deadlines and coordinate the flow of information from various department contributors to ensure adherence to deadlines.
- Ensure proper and consistent messaging by proofing, editing, and rewriting all sections of the document as required.
- Develop and maintain current a library of project summaries and specification details to be used in various submission documents.
- Gather and store feedback on proposals to help improve proposal content and process.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in a relevant field and three years of experience writing proposals for RFPs.
- Experience in human resources or promotion of health and wellness, or disability management is an **asset**.
- Must have demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
- Ability to collaborate with others under tight deadlines and handle several tasks at once.
- Experience in technical writing and in professional and business writing and revising.
- Quick learner and critical mind, sound judgement and ability to make situation
- appropriate decisions based on an appropriate analysis.
- Outstanding writing and editing skills, in English.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Some broader communications experience/knowledge beyond proposal writing.
