Reporting to the Director, Finance, the Student Accounts Manager leads a team of 3 direct reports overseeing student billing accounts, accounts receivable, and cash receipts. This individual will assist in the development of short
- and long-term policies, systems, and procedures.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain daily banking deposits including cash/cheques, online payments (including through online portals) and payments from student loans.
- Manage student accounts promptly and efficiently including generating advance deposits, add tuitions and fees, process approved refunds, process approved appeals, and manage encumbrances.
- Receive appeals, collect, and ensure supporting documentation is received and meet with manager to assess appeals. Prepare responses for student appeals.
- Oversee the review and collection of past due accounts.
- Post Journal Entries for Student Accounts and Accounts Receivable.
- Liaise with Development on the posting of donations received.
- Liaise with Admissions and other departments regarding annual board approved tuition and fees and provide communication on changes from prior year.
- Provide reporting and communicating with Student Insurance provider.
- Liaise with Student Associations regarding association fees collected.
- Supervise and train the Student Accounts teams.
- Assist with external auditors with questions and supporting documentation requests regarding Student Accounts, Accounts receivable and Cash receipts.
- Monthly reconciliation of Clearing accounts and Account Receivable GLs.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance or Vice President Finance and Operations.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 2-year diploma or related post-secondary education or combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 7 years experience in accounts receivable/student accounts functions.
- Minimum 3 years of managerial experience.
- Audit experience is required.
- Demonstrates proficiency in full-cycle Accounts Receivable/Student Accounts operations.
- Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and build and maintain strong relationships with students and employees.
- Satisfactory Criminal Records Check results
