Detailed Overview:
**Supporting the Vision, Values, Purpose and Commitments of Fraser Health including service delivery that is centered around patients/clients/residents and families**:
Reporting to the Director, Information Access & Privacy, the Manager, Privacy Auditing and Incident Management provides leadership in and is accountable for managing the following areas within Information Access & Privacy and across Fraser Health (FH): privacy incident investigations, privacy breach management, FH's privacy auditing program, and the development of an organizational privacy access control framework. As required by the Director, leads privacy consultations, develops information sharing agreements, and assists with the negotiation of contractual privacy terms.

The Manager advises on legal obligations under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (Act) with respect to privacy protections and compliance relating to the assigned areas. Provides guidance on best practice auditing and privacy standards, and Office of the Privacy Commissioner (OIPC) orders and requirements. The Manager works closely with Legal and Risk Management teams on matters involving the Act and Health Informatics and Information Technology teams to ensure privacy and security compliance for projects involving technology. Acts as a liaison for OIPC in relation to matters involving FH, follows OIPC investigations through to conclusion, and oversees the development and implementation of appropriate privacy practice improvements. Develops strategic relationships with FH program leaders to provide expertise on Act compliance and privacy protection matters within the broader context of FH's privacy management program and works with senior staff to promote a culture of compliance across FH. Ensuring privacy protection and compliance with the Act, applies proactive strategies to enable information sharing across FH and engages with external groups such as other health authorities and the Ministry of Health.

Provides managerial oversight and leadership to assigned staff and manages assigned operating budget.

**Responsibilities**:

- Leads and manages the assigned areas privacy incident investigations, privacy breach management and notifications, privacy auditing, and the development of the organization’s privacy access control framework.
- Initiates, facilitates and promotes privacy compliance activities within Fraser Health (FH).
- Represents FH in dealings with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (OIPC) relating to compliance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (Act).
- Uses current case law, OIPC regulatory orders and other privacy guidance documents to advise on and support privacy recommendations, including collection, use, storage and disclosure of personal information.
- Advises and negotiates information sharing and access agreements in relation personal information with third parties, where required by the Director.
- Builds strategic relationships and collaborations within FH leaders to promote a culture of privacy compliance with the Act. Builds consensus with relevant leaders on compliance requirements in the Act.
- Partners with program areas such as Virtual Health, Innovation, and Health Informatics and Information Technology to ensure projects/initiatives involving
