**THE OPPORTUNITY**
- Perform internal checks in accordance with the company’s Quality Management System standards including net weight, oxygen, seals, labels, product appearance, temperature, metal detection, counts or slices per package, tares, stuffing weights, pH, and shrink tests.
- Inspect work in process to ensure quality specifications, SOP’s and SSOP’s are being followed in accordance with requirements.
- Liaises with production personnel to provide guidance and input regarding product specifications and quality issues.
- Perform quality inspections on raw or finished products at set frequency to ensure products are within specifications.
- Perform investigations on foreign material findings.
- Perform continuous documentation of all samples, testing, check results, and initiates action for correction.
- Provide data, documentation, samples, participates in the initiation of corrective actions, customer complaint resolution and/or corrective measures.
- Stop production when test results or checks deviate from expected results.
- Monitor quality systems (SQF, HACCP, QA) documentation for completeness and compliance.
- Cover weekend production shifts (QA checks)
- Monitor and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices to employees.
- Troubleshoot QA equipment if not functioning properly (e.g. Metal Detectors)
- Work in a safe manner in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act by reporting all hazards, accidents, incidents or near misses to the Supervisor.
- Follow all prescribed SOPs, HACCP, and GMP procedures.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

**THE REQUIREMENTS**
- Read, write, and communicate (English)
- Completion of quality assurance related courses or have relevant QA experience
- 3 years’ experience in a food manufacturing
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be mechanically inclined
- Ability to work effectively both as an individual and a team member
- Ability to work in a cold environment
- Must have good organizational skills
