**Job Title**

Project Manager/Scrum Master - Risk Technology (Halifax) #CSTech

**What is the opportunity?**

In this role, you will manage a set of IT projects within Corporate Systems related to Risk. The work will be centered around integration projects to on-board newly acquired businesses and assets to the Risk technology ecosystem.

**What will you do?**
- Perform standard project management functions including financial planning and control, task decomposition and execution, proactive risk and issue management, project health checks, verbal and written communication to Function (Risk) and IT, vendor management and team leading
- Adopt Agile methodologies and use them as a mechanism to improve the quality of deliverables, reduce project duration and mitigate risk
- Develop, monitor and execute roll out of appropriate Agile delivery framework. Provide regular Agile productivity metrics and develop regular improvement plans relative to insights derived from productivity metrics
- Aggressively manage priorities and issues where conflicts arise; mediate and resolve project team conflicts
- Regularly report progress of project status, milestones, achievements and budgetary standing in both formal (e.g. Executive Steering Committee) and informal settings
- Communicate effectively with developers, database administrators, network analysts, systems analysts, senior management, project sponsors and business users
- In conjunction with business partners, develop and present project business cases to the appropriate approval committee
- Provide regular risk assessments and work with Operational Risk team on mitigation strategies and monitoring
- Administer project modification/change control; obtain estimates of duration and price for changes to be approved by the steering committee responsible for the project

**What do you need to succeed?**

**Must-have**
- Experience in running Agile projects
- Experience as an IT project manager
- Skilled in driving work while maintaining positive relationships across technology teams and stakeholders
- Understanding of fundamental concepts in banking and risk
- Ability to work with multiple teams and navigate complex dependencies

**Nice-to-have**
- Big Data Experience
- Working knowledge risk related regulatory programs in Canadian financial institutions
- PMP or Scrum Master Certifications
