**Job Description**:
TITLE: Facilities Coordinator

LOCATION: Stackpole International Fluid Power Solutions Mississauga

REPORTS TO: Maintenance Manager

SUMMARY

The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for the safe and proper operation, cleaning and maintenance related to all aspects of the facility. They are also responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental laws/Acts and regulations.

The Facilities Coordinator should be willing to roll-up their sleeves and be hands-on, by taking initiative and ownership of the facility while making things happen. Must work in a safe and efficient manner and comply with Stackpole’s Health & Safety Policies and Procedures and Quality Systems, Procedures and Policies. Must become familiar and work with SPS, 5S and CI activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises and co-ordinates day-to-day maintenance and repair of building, grounds and associated equipment
- Provide input into and administers assigned operating and capital budget ensuring that expenditures are controlled and maintained within budget limitations.
- Plans, coordinates and manages the timelines of facility related projects with contractors and management
- Ensures the safe operation, installation and repair of all heating, cooling, plumbing, compressed air and electrical systems
- Responsible for program management and supervision of maintenance/construction projects.
- Prepares specifications and recommends awards in the tendering of small projects and maintenance projects
- Develops, implements and maintains a performance evaluation for contractors and consultants
- Conducts site inspection and site visits with contractors
- Maintains and tracks facilities service requests and ensures requests are completed within established timelines and quality standards.
- Schedules and ensures completion of preventative maintenance of facility equipment
- Maintains records in CMMS system and continues to update it
- Acts as liaison to external shareholders including City of Mississauga, MOE including filing of permits
- Liaises with HSE Specialist on critical safety programs and legal compliance issues
- Ensures compliance with all standards and regulations (e.g. TSSA, OHSA, building code, fire code)
- Understands and follows Company procurement policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working with mechanical/electrical systems and HVAC systems
- Experience in the management and maintenance of an industrial building
- Experience in construction planning and implementation for an industrial building
- Comprehensive knowledge of common building operational policies and various related Acts/Codes/Standards (e.g. electrical code, TSSA, Fire Code, AODA)
- Demonstrated experience in developing and managing operating and project based budgets
- Able to plan and work with mínimal supervision
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Project and work order databases

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- College diploma/University degree in civil/construction engineering and/or appropriate combination of education and relevant experience
- 5+ years in facilities maintenance or industrial engineering
