_Fundraising and Events Coordinator_

PREP is well known for its success in supporting families and children with Down syndrome, and we take pride in our role as an advocate for inclusion for over 35 years. Our dedicated team of staff work hard to ensure that ALL children with Down syndrome have the best opportunities possible for success so they can live active and included lives in their communities.

**Position Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Events:_
- Collaborate with senior leadership to understand the details of each event and set clear event objectives, requirements, and budget constraints.
- Develop and implement comprehensive event plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate and oversee all event logistics, such as venue selection, catering, audiovisual equipment, transportation, and accommodations.
- Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to negotiate contracts, obtain necessary permits, and ensure smooth event operations.
- Manage event setup, teardown, and onsite coordination to ensure all aspects run smoothly and according to plan.
- Monitor and manage event budgets, expenses, and invoices.
- Design and implement strategies to enhance the attendee experience, including registration processes, ticketing systems, and on-site engagement activities.
- Coordinate with PREP's Communications Coordinator to develop event branding, signage, and promotional materials.
- Provide exceptional customer service to address attendee inquiries, concerns, and special requests.
- Make recommendations for process enhancements, cost savings, and best practices to improve future events.

- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement comprehensive fundraising plans and strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify potential funding partners, including individuals, corporations, and foundations.
- Stay updated on fundraising trends, best practices, and legal requirements, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors, sponsors, and supporters, nurturing long-term partnerships.
- Develop and implement strategies to engage donors and sponsors, cultivate their interests, and increase their involvement and contributions.
- Coordinate donor and sponsor communication efforts, including personalized acknowledgments, regular updates, newsletters, and special recognition initiatives.
- Collaborate with PREP's Communications Coordinator to create compelling fundraising materials, including solicitation letters, brochures, website content, and social media campaigns.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records, gift tracking systems, and fundraising databases.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, marketing, fundraising, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Fundraising and Events Coordinator or similar role, demonstrating successful planning and execution of diverse events and fundraising campaigns.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with acute attention to detail.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of event marketing principles and strategies.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 14 per week

**Salary**: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
