Neetah Construction LP is a Multi-Service Heavy Civil and Roadbuilding Construction and Maintenance Company. Neetah is 51% Indigenous partnership between the Des Nedhe Group, and the Magnorum Group (Formerly the Morsky Group). Neetah has grown from its inception to servicing multiple heavy civil projects throughout Saskatchewan and a full time complement of over 75 Employees.
We are seeking **Two** - (2) **Heavy Civil Construction Foremen** to support project opportunities with Neetah Construction.
This position will be site based, but reporting to the civil division located in Saskatoon Saskatchewan.. You’ll be joining a team of recognized industry experts on work that’s critical to our clients and our communities. Position and starting rate based on skills and experience.
Job Title**:Heavy Civil Construction Foreman**
Reports To: Construction Manager
Job Summary: As the Foreman, you will be responsible for managing a crew of Equipment operators and labourers to build and construct project as directed.
**Scope of Responsibilities**:
- Direct day to day tasks for crews which may include but be limited to crew movements, daily operations, traffic, trucking and procurement on highway maintenance/repair projects. This may include initial mobilization and set up of construction sites, scheduling and allocating personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Manages and coordinates the daily and weekly activities of, crew members and equipment as per the project plan schedule in an efficient manner.
- Provide timely administration, planning and communications/reporting to the Project Manager.
- Monitor and ensure safety and quality standards are met and adhered to in accordance with company policy, quality documentation and legislative requirements.
- As the key front-line communicator, ensure ongoing and timely communication with the Project Manager. Develop working relationships and communicate with Client representatives. Co-ordinate daily with the project management team and work toward long term planning.
- Manage the daily person, equipment, time, and internal submittals.
- Coordinate equipment usage, fueling needs and equipment maintenance tasks. Manage the supply and asset procurement.
- Coordinate traffic control and inspections in accordance with work procedures.
- Perform site walkthroughs to ensure the project site is safe, clean, and orderly.
**Qualifications**:
- Background and knowledge of managing teams, equipment operation and maintenance, safety, quality control, materials management, and trucking.
- Ability to work under tight production schedules and deadlines, with effective time-management.
- Must possess strong problem solving and communication skills, as well as the ability to handle changing demands.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
