Position Summary:
Tacten is currently recruiting an Industrial Trades Apprenticeship Coordinator. If you are interested in being part of a vibrant industrial setting that offers prospects for personal development and learning, then this opportunity is tailored for you.

This role, will play a pivotal part in bolstering our resources to support the growth of our RAIS business. The main responsibilities will revolve around supervising and coordinating apprenticeship activities within our organization. This involves providing administrative, counseling, consultative, and investigative services to facilitate apprenticeship training and certification through our Apprenticeship Program. Efforts will be aimed at promoting and coordinating apprenticeship training in accordance with established standards.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop relationships with business contacts, educators, and industry partners.
- Promote apprenticeship opportunities to industry partners and contacts.
- Partner with WFD/TA on community outreach and recruitment events, such as job fairs and tours for high school and trades institutions.
- Arranges and organizes pre-employment evaluation, testing, recruitment, training programs, and school enrollments.
- Plan and deliver educational resources to apprentices.
- Arranges and participates in performance evaluations.
- Monitor apprentice progress, provide guidance, and troubleshoot issues.
- Maintain records of Apprentice hours (ITA direct access) to ensure Apprenticeship requirements are met.
- Host training and check-in sessions with the apprentices.
- Track weekly onboarding/offboarding statistics for trades-based roles.
- Maintains records of individual employee training, including registration and hours verification.
- Coordinates and monitors technical and on-the-job training.
- Identifies training requirements.
- Other work-related duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Degree and/or diploma, or a trades qualification, and practical experience is required
- A minimum of three years’ experience as a Human Resources Assistant, Human Resources Coordinator, or Trades Coordinator.
- General knowledge of apprenticeship programs in Alberta.
- Intermediate/Advanced computer skills with MS Office.
