**Summary**

The Educational Sales Representative is responsible for selling our products through the achievement of opportunity-based sales. He or she will reach business targets through the use of excellent sales and communications skills. Calling on teachers, principals, and school district administrators, you will aggressively promote a well respected line of products. The Educational Sales Representative will reach his or her business targets through effective management of designated territories, pre-approved tradeshows/conferences and physical visits to customer sites. This position will have a strong focus on consultative selling and presenting solutions that enrich the learning process and personally connecting with your customer base. Your success will also come from having a strong understanding of technology based products. This individual will develop ongoing, profitable relationships with customers and continually maintain a professional image of the company. Integrity, passion, and in-person presentational skills are essential for this role.

**Job Duties**
- Maintain a high level of service to existing customers; managing the customer relationship
- Generate and develop new customer accounts to increase revenue, by cold-calling if necessary
- Overcome objections of prospective customers
- Perform professional presentations or demonstrations of company product(s) while meeting with new or existing clients
- Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales order forms and/or reports
- Prepare weekly, monthly, yearly and adhoc reports as required
- Participate in company wide marketing initiatives
- Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude at all times
- Performs other duties as required

**Requirements**:

- College or University Degree in related field or relevant work experience
- Home Office
- 50% of time will be spent travelling for sales calls - occasional overnight travel will be required
- Ability to make excellent sales to achieve performance in alignment with goals and objectives
- Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining established sales quotas
- Solid experience in opportunity qualification, pre-visit planning, call control, account development, and time and territory management
- Excellent customer service skills, interpersonal, multi-tasking, organizational and communication skills
- Experience in either Sales or Educational Products required
- Computer literate with proficiency using basic programs such as Windows and Outlook. As well as the ability to utilize company software and databases to perform essential duties of this position
- Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills
- Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team
- High level of integrity and work ethic
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle
