**Summary**

The sales representative is responsible for selling our products through the achievement of opportunity-based sales. He or she will reach business targets using excellent sales and communications skills. Calling on teachers, principals, and school district administrators, you will aggressively promote a well-respected line of products. A sales representative will prioritizes building a connection with customers and potential buyers The sales representative will reach his or her business targets through effective management of designated territories, pre-approved tradeshows/conferences and physical visits to customer sites. This position will have a strong focus on consultative selling and presenting solutions that enrich the learning process and personally connecting with your customer base. This individual will develop ongoing, profitable relationships with customers and continually maintain a professional image of the company. Integrity, passion, and in-person presentational skills are essential for this role.

**Job Duties**
- Maintain a high level of service to existing customers by managing the customer relationship
- Generate and develop new customer accounts to increase revenue via tradeshows, school visits, cold calling, etc.
- Overcome objections of prospective customers
- Through a full schedule of daily sales visits, this role will promote to individual schools the benefits of doing business with Spectrum.
- Perform professional presentations or demonstrations of company product(s) while meeting with new or existing clients
- Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales order forms and/or reports
- Prepare weekly, monthly, yearly and adhoc reports as required
- Participate in company wide marketing initiatives
- Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude at all times
- Performs other duties as required

**Requirements**:

- College or University Degree in related field or relevant work experience is preferred
- 50%-75% of time will be spent travelling for sales calls - occasional overnight travel will be required
- Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining established sales quotas
- Solid experience in opportunity qualification, pre-visit planning, call control, account development, and time and territory management
- Excellent customer service skills, interpersonal, multi-tasking, organizational and communication skills
- Experience in either Sales or Educational Products required
- Computer literate with proficiency using basic programs such as Windows and Outlook. As well as the ability to utilize company software and databases to perform essential duties of this position
- Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills
- Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team
- High level of integrity and work ethic
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle
- In possession of a reliable vehicle, no older than 6 years and to be maintained in a manner that clients can be driven in (if necessary). The vehicle must also be capable of transporting several boxes and marketing material to display at shows as needed.
- A laptop and Smartphone will be provided
- Valid Passport
- Experience with Sales Force is considered an asset or other CRM products

**Work Conditions**
- Frequent travel is required, often up to several hours of driving per day
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
- Ability to lift up to 30lbs
