This key role has day-to-day managerial (both tactical and strategic) responsibility for the New Product Introduction processes at Ross Video, including process development and refinement, detailed scheduling and management of all New Product Introduction and Change Management activities in Ross Video’s manufacturing operation.

The Vice President, Manufacturing NPI will manage the interrelationships between Manufacturing and the R&D organization within Ross Video. Motivating and strengthening a forward-looking NPI operations strategy and plan to help the product lines achieve their customer and financial goals. Working in collaboration with the appropriate stakeholders and staff in Iroquois and globally, this role will ensure that development of new, creative and innovative products, is taken from concept to provision of prototypes and then to production launch quickly and professionally, and that new products are manufacturable and testable with high yield and very low customer-reported issues. Success in this role will be measured by customer, stakeholder and employee satisfaction.

**Who you report to**: This positions report to the Chief Manufacturing and Services Officer, and interacts heavily with Ross R&D operations, including the VP, Engineering and appropriate Product Teams.

**What the job is all about**:

- Develop, communicate, implement and refine a forward-looking NPI operations strategy and plan to help manufacturing operations and the product lines achieve their customer and financial goals. Working with Iroquois manufacturing staff, build and guide the team for efficient and effective product introduction from R&D through prototype and production ramp. Product in this case includes ancillary requirements, i.e. packaging, configurations, manuals and training.
- Work with manufacturing staff, the VP, Engineering and R&D to improve the manufacturability, serviceability, yield, reliability, testability and more (DFx) of designs and improve the Ross design process.
- As R&D is a critical investment for Ross Video, work with the various teams to select and implement appropriate measures of design effectiveness and timeliness.
- Responsible for working with the manufacturing management team to highlight processes for operational consistency and continuous improvement. Identify and explore new methods, systems and processes to improve NPI processes as well as internal communication and efficiency.
- Manage the Manufacturing NPI budget.
- Maintain a keen interest and understanding of relevant trends, developments and best practices.
- Travel may be required to attend trade shows, for customer meetings and on-site visits.

**Who you are**:

- Familiarity with the electronics manufacturing industry, new product introduction and advanced technology.
- Strategic thinker with excellent leadership, communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- Post-secondary degree in a related field (i.e. manufacturing engineering) and appropriate experience
- A Master’s Degree in Business Administration would be considered an asset
- Very solid computer skills including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Robust systems background, particularly with CRM’s, MES’s and ERP’s (SalesForce experience is an asset)
- Some awareness of the broadcast, news or sports and live events industry, technology and trends is an advantage.
