Supporting the youth of today to be the makers of tomorrow, MiniMakers is an educational centre focused on developing valuable life skills involving a variety of age-appropriate and safe creative activities. Turning their imaginations into reality, our makers use child-safe woodworking equipment, various production tools (including software design tools) and a wide range of decorative approaches to produce both practical and artistic items. The skills they develop support growth in science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM) while also building an “I can do it” mentality with real world outcomes. Our makers build creativity, confidence and skill, all the while having a lot of fun

**The Job**:
**We are looking for individuals who are interested in Arts, Science, Space Science and Aquarium Sciences. Must love interacting and guiding kids and are outgoing, eager to help and share experiences with kids 5 - 12. The position starts off as part time/on call for all shifts. Shifts vary between 4 hour and 7.5, Monday - Sunday. Opportunities exist for full time and leadership roles in the future.**
- Lead, instruct and guide kids through various STEM based lessons in our **Vancouver based Studios** and Outposts including the **Vancouver Aquarium.**
- Work with kids on creative projects involving design, maker skills and art. Guide kids through the attractions on field trips and support their learning objectives.
- Run science demonstrations that are amazing to watch.
- Experience with space science or ocean science is an asset but not required. An amazing opportunity for High School Grads or College level students pursing space or Ocean Sciences or Arts.
- $21 hour base wage.
- Schedule varies. Parttime and/or on call.
- Full, unrestricted Class 5 Drivers License preferred, but not required. Position may occasionally requires travel between South Vancouver and the Vancouver Aquarium.
