**Opportunity**:
As a manager reporting to both the Director of Stakeholder Engagement and Senior Manager of Marketing and Communications, you will play a vital role in amplifying DIVERSEcity's impact and mission through events, relationship-building, and content creation. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive stakeholder engagement strategy to engage stakeholders and partners, foster stronger relationships for DIVERSEcity as a whole and to support the Partnership and Stakeholder Department's programs outreach efforts.

You will work with the Marketing and Communications Department to create compelling messaging and marketing materials highlighting the organization's programs, events, and initiatives. Your innovative approach to communication will be instrumental in helping DIVERSEcity secure sponsorships and build strong partnerships with stakeholders, both external and internal.

Through your creative problem-solving, event planning and excellent communication and writing skills, you will bring together diverse perspectives and facilitate meaningful conversations to support the organization's goals. You will be a collaborative team player, contributing to the overall success of DIVERSEcity's efforts to create a more inclusive and equitable community.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive stakeholder engagement strategy that includes identifying key stakeholders, building, and maintaining relationships, and meeting stakeholder needs, as part of DIVERSEcity’s communications strategy;
- Experience developing and managing sponsorships, partnerships, and fundraising campaigns to support events and initiatives;
- Coordinate all aspects of event planning and execution, hosting and coordination, including logistics, managing budgets, timelines, vendor management, marketing and promotion, and post-event follow-up and evaluation;
- Support internal staff events as a member of our Social and Wellness Committee;
- Develop presentations and pitch packages to support fundraising and development efforts, including grant proposals, major donor solicitations and corporate partnerships;
- Support the organization's external communications and content, ensuring messaging is consistent with the organization's mission, values, and strategic priorities;
- Create and produce communications materials, including newsletters, annual reports, marketing materials, publications, articles, presentations, and pitch packages;
- Coordinate with program staff to develop and implement new initiatives and events communications plans and ensure consistent messaging and branding across all channels and initiatives;
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to support fundraising and development efforts by creating compelling messaging and materials communicating the organization's impact and need;
- Have exceptional writing skills, editing and proofreading, with the ability to craft clear and compelling messaging for various audiences and platforms;
- Be familiar with social media platforms and can develop and implement strategies that engage audiences and drive engagement;
- WordPress website content management and the ability to manage and update website content are considered assets.
- At least three-five years of experience in stakeholder engagement, communications, or public relations, preferably in a non-profit setting;
- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations or a related field;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to create compelling messaging and materials;
- Experience planning and executing successful events, including fundraising galas, community forums, and volunteer recognition events;
- Proven ability to manage projects and work collaboratively with others to achieve goals;
- Experience managing websites, social media, and other digital communications tools;
- Experience in media relations and public speaking;
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities;
- Strong commitment to equity, inclusion, and social justice;
- Knowledge of fundraising techniques including, but not limited to, proposal writing; sponsorship development, public relations; prospect research; donor relations and stewardship; volunteer management; and correspondence management;
- Interpersonal skills to facilitate work with a wide range of individuals and groups from culturally diverse publics;
- Ability to work independently to prioritize and produce high-quality work products;
