**Job Title: Community Initiatives Team Lead -Child and Youth Care Worker (Behavioral intervention, and client support duties)**

**Location: Edmonton & Mundare, Alberta**

**Hours**:30hrs per week

**Salary: $20 -$27 per hr - **Commensurate with experience.

Chezliving has programs designed to cultivate relationships with youth, celebrating their strengths, using trauma inform-card, sign of safety, and adverse childhood experiences (ACE) to create a case plan/goal to support youth. In addition, Chezliving utilizes tools such as cognitive therapy, mindfulness-based therapy in teaching life skill development as well as transparent open communication to build relationships and connection with youth and their support network.

**About the Position**:This Team Lead position will be, for all our three homes Mundare, House 727, and house 63 You will support, train, and supervise frontline staff, maintain tracking systems, manage stakeholder relationships, and monitor trends and issues within the programs. You use sound judgment when making decisions and have a collaborative approach to your work.
- As a Team Lead, you will utilize your solid leadership and team-building skills to maintain and enhance a strong and effective team that embraces change.
- You will engage your team by setting both individual and unit goals and providing ongoing case consultation and practice supervision.
- It is essential as a Team lead, that you can empower your team to have a positive mindset, collaborative skill sets, and inclusive practice as they provide services to children, youth, and families in the area’s wellness and support services.
- Your strong focus on coaching and mentoring will guide the support and direction you provide to a team of Children's Services professionals working in Child Intervention Services.
- You will utilize your team building, critical thinking, decision-making, problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills to prioritize multiple projects and assignments that support better decisions for children, youth, and families.
- Your well-developed interpersonal communication skills will enhance your ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders.
- Builds and maintains strong effective staffing teams
- Monitors and reviews staff performance on an ongoing basis in compliance with agency policies and professional standards
- Participates actively in partner collaboration meetings and advisory committees.
- Provides consistent caseload reviews.
- Receive and negotiate referrals, match service providers to child/family (when applicable)
- Takes a leadership role in building links and working partnerships with formal and informal service providers and stakeholders in the community.
- Has knowledge and understanding of community resources and the access thereof?
- Collects program outcome data and monitors service delivery.
- Supports the Manager of Community Initiatives, assisting with program development and evaluation

**What you will bring to the role**:

- Degree in human service field with knowledge, experience, and competence in child and youth care practice, family support practice, and community capacity building
- 2 years’ direct client service experience required
- Indigenous awareness and cultural humility
- Formal supervision, group meeting facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and school-based experience are assets
- RSW or Equivalent Membership within another professional body is an asset (if eligible)
