Chef/catering Manager

Lalies & The Dutch is a brand new café restaurant in downtown Cobourg. We are looking for a full time Chef to join our team and take responsibility for our catering program.

As the head of catering you will be responsible for preparing catering orders for pick-up, delivery, and off-site events. Other responsibilities include:

- Working with the owners and Chef to plan custom event menus
- Costing menus and dishes
- Ordering food and maintaining inventory
- Prepping food for events
- Packaging food for pickup and delivery
- Several years experience in food service, preferably in a management position
- Food handlers certificate
- Drivers licence

**Core Responsibilities**:

- Continually monitoring staff to ensure high standards are maintained in menu items, food and hygiene.
- Completing kitchen opening and closing procedures and managing end-of-day system closings.
- Determining food inventory needs, stocking and ordering
- Handling customer inquiries and resolving issues.
- Keep a clean and sanitary environment, including all kitchen surfaces and cleaning kitchen duties after each shift.
- Open and/or closing of kitchen as needed.
- Handling food storage (FIFO) according to the health & safety regulations.

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
