Account Reconciliation Analyst

**Job Purpose**

The Account Reconciliation Analyst is responsible for the data integrity of our client CRM system and the reconciliation of client investment accounts to our custodial information systems. It also involves the execution and implementation of quality check routines, and interaction with the user community.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Define and maintain the data management strategy
- Responsible for all daily custodian data uploads and account reconciliations
- Resolve reconciliation issues immediately (book values, cash/units/ missing prices, missing dividends, missing transactions)
- Evaluate transactions and portfolio activity for data integrity
- Organization of daily incoming account activity and providing spreadsheets to Portfolio Administrators and Portfolio Managers
- Weekly reporting to Fund accountant (SGGG) on pooled funds
- Facilitate transfer requests for all residual cash and stock in closed accounts
- Manage time critical situations and projects while meeting rigorous deadlines
- Perform complex data analysis to identify data quality issues / trends, mapping errors and report findings
- Provide training, guidance, assistance, and support to operations team
- Assist Portfolio Administrators during onboarding
- Develop and implement data correction plans to address issues as they arise
- Ensure that automated data imports / exports contain appropriate data and are run in a timely manner
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of user training materials
- Participate in functional testing during system upgrades / enhancements to ensure data quality and consistency
- Set up of new securities

**Qualifications**
- Strong communication skills
- Strong time management skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment
- Minimum 3 years of experience in financial account reconciliation and administration with an investment firm
- Good understanding of information processing as it relates to business
- Experience creating/maintaining user guidelines
- General knowledge of Microsoft Office and G-Suite
- Advanced knowledge of Excel

**Working Conditions**
- Position reports to our Oakville office, with the option to work remotely 2 days per week.
